About the event
How can climate action tackle food crises and build resilience in fragile and conflict-affected countries? This technical session will provide evidence for mobilizing investment in climate actions that build resilient agrifood systems from the ground up in humanitarian and food crises contexts. This session supports the COP28 Presidency focus on policies and investments that protect lives and livelihoods and community resilience, specifically in fragile and conflict-affected contexts. Using country examples, speakers will bring the climate, peace and security nexus to the forefront and will provide insights into the complex interactions between climate, conflict, hunger, forced displacement and climate-induced mobility.
